Working as a UK accountant, handling bookkeeping and financial tasks. This gives me strong real-world business understanding, which I now combine with IT and data skills to grow into analyst / tech roles.
I managed bookkeeping for over 50 UK clients using QuickBooks Online, ensuring accuracy and compliance. My responsibilities included processing purchase and sales entries, handling payroll, and performing bank reconciliations. I supported accounts payable and receivable functions while preparing detailed financial reports to aid decision-making. Additionally, I filed UK personal tax returns, meeting compliance standards and strict deadlines with efficiency.
I was responsible for creating invoices, managing GST filings, and accurately posting financial records. I performed regular reconciliations to ensure data integrity and supported compliance with statutory requirements. My role also involved assisting in the finalization of accounts in collaboration with the Chartered Accountant.
